World-renowned film theorist David Jay Bordwell has passed away at the age of 76 after losing his battle with cancer.
The author of foundational academic books such as 'Narration in the Fiction Film', 'Film Art: An Introduction' and 'The Classical Hollywood Cinema', Bordwell also wrote a book titled 'Christopher Nolan: A Labyrinth of Linkages' on the cinema of Christopher Nolan, one of the most talked-about directors of this year with the film Oppenheimer.
Bordwell had compiled his invaluable wealth of knowledge on film criticism, analysis, and history on his blog.
