The 88-year-old renowned figure of Turkish cinema, Türker İnanoğlu, who had been receiving treatment for health issues for some time, was hospitalized. Despite all medical interventions, İnanoğlu passed away.

Gülşen Bubikoğlu released a message following the passing of her husband, the veteran producer Türker İnanoğlu, who left us at the age of 88.

Bubikoğlu included the words, "We are in deep sorrow over the loss of my precious husband Türker İnanoğlu; may our family, all his loved ones, and all of us find strength..."

WHO IS TÜRKER İNANOĞLU?

Turkish film director, producer, screenwriter, and businessman Türker İnanoğlu was born on May 18, 1936, in Safranbolu. He entered the field of cinema as an assistant director in 1957 while he was a student at the School of Applied Fine Arts.

He worked with famous directors such as Lütfi Ömer Akad and Nişan Hançer. He began his directing career with the 1960 film "Köyde Bir Kız Sevdim" (I Loved a Girl in the Village).

In 1960, he founded his own film company called Erler Film. He established the Ulusal Video company in 1979 and a television studio in 1985.

He put his signature on numerous television productions. He was also the owner of the Atlas Cinema in Beyoğlu, the Kent Cinema in Şişli, and the Boğaziçi Cinemas in Kavacık. In 2005, he opened the TİM (Türker İnanoğlu Maslak Show Center) in Maslak, Istanbul.

Türker İnanoğlu passed away on April 2, 2024.
