Edip Akbayram, who suffered internal bleeding after falling at his home on January 9, was taken to the University of Health Sciences Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital and placed in intensive care.

The artist was returned to intensive care for treatment following a surgery that lasted approximately 1 hour.

Akbayram, who later underwent another operation, continues to receive treatment in intensive care.

Edip Akbayram's daughter, Türkü Akbayram, addressed her father on her social media account. Akbayram stated, "My father used to bring me to this park. Now I bring my daughter. And looking at the sky, I wish, I say; 'Come on, my dear father, there are still days to see'".
