Israeli director Yuval Abraham, whose documentary film "No Other Land," which focuses on the violence perpetrated by illegal Israeli settlers in the occupied Palestinian territories, won the "Best Documentary" award at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), announced that a group of right-wing Israelis came to his family's home and threatened him.

In a post on his X social media account, Abraham made a statement regarding the threats directed at him and his family following his speech at the Berlinale.

'THEY THREATENED MY FAMILY MEMBERS'

Israeli director Abraham said, "A right-wing Israeli mob came to my family's home yesterday to look for me and threatened my family members, who had to flee to another town in the middle of the night."

Stating that he is still receiving death threats and was forced to cancel his return flight to Israel, Abraham noted that his speech at the Berlinale, in which he "called for an end to apartheid," was senselessly labeled as "antisemitic" by Israeli media and German politicians, and that he has experienced these troubles since then.

Abraham stated that Germans are misusing the concept of antisemitism not only to silence Palestinians who criticize Israel, but also to silence Israelis like himself who support a ceasefire that would end the "murders in Gaza" and allow for the release of Israeli hostages, thereby emptying the concept of its meaning and endangering Jews all over the world.
