Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti reveals the story behind his meeting with Orhan Pamuk
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti described his dinner meeting with Nobel laureate author Orhan Pamuk in Istanbul as "an honor I cannot explain, a happiness I cannot describe."
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, in a post on his social media account, stated that he had long conversations on many topics with Orhan Pamuk, whom he met for dinner at a restaurant in Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, and noted the following:
"When Dr. Bilgin Sait told me that author Orhan Pamuk had invited me to dinner, I didn't believe him at first. As the evening approached, the minutes felt as long as hours to me, while the three and a half hours I spent with him flew by like minutes. Perhaps we managed to write the introductory summary of the chapters of our future friendship."
Stating that Pamuk has a spontaneous kindness and an intimidating level of interest, Kurti emphasized that he is very interested in Kosovo, the Albanian people, and the Balkans.
Kurti used the expressions, "An honor I cannot explain, a happiness I cannot describe."
