Nuri Alço (73), who was taken to a private hospital after falling ill at his home in Eskişehir on April 6, was transferred to Eskişehir City Hospital on April 7.

Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sungur had provided the following information regarding Alço's health status:

"He has three main problems. There were neurological issues. An MRI taken due to complaints of nausea revealed a millimeter-sized area of blood flow in the posterior region of the brain. However, as of now, he is stable regarding this problem. There is no loss of strength, and there is no problem with his speech. He is stable in this regard. He is receiving his treatment.

Another issue is that Mr. Nuri has a history of a bypass operation and a heart valve surgery. For this reason, we had concerns related to a heart rhythm disorder and pumping problems. The necessary treatments for these are being administered. With diuretic therapy and rhythm disorder treatment, we are currently stable in these areas as well."

"The oxygen therapy he receives via a device is continuing intermittently at this stage. We are also stable in this regard. Another problem is that he has an infection in his lungs as a result of this heart problem. He is receiving antibiotic treatment for this. We are also stable at this point.

I can state that as of today, he is more stable and in better condition. Hopefully, we will give better news to his loved ones. At this stage, there is no apparent life-threatening danger. As I said, when I visited him today, he was laughing, talking, and his morale was very high."
