After opening the packaging of a Coşkun brand Kangal sausage he purchased from a factory outlet store in Kağıthane, Istanbul, Ali İhsan Bal encountered a blue plastic object inside the product. Surprised, Bal immediately reported this unusual situation to the relevant authorities.

In his application to CİMER on February 13, 2026, Bal emphasized that the incident poses serious risks in terms of food safety and public health.

Stating that he still has the product and the foreign object found inside in his possession, the consumer requested that necessary inspections and audits be conducted and that legal action be initiated against the company.

The application file was forwarded to the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

Noting that he did not receive the attention he expected from the company, Bal made the following statement: “When the plastic came out, I reported the situation to the brand. They responded in a way that suggested, ‘complain wherever you want.’ I also wrote to them via Instagram, after which they blocked me.”

The consumer also stated that he would apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee and that he would use all legal avenues to resolve his grievance.
