Kızıl Goncalar explores the intersection of the fates of Levent (Özcan Deniz), a secular Kemalist, and Meryem (Özgü Namal), who lives within a devout religious sect, while highlighting the unifying power of motherhood/fatherhood when it comes to a 'child,' despite differences in belief and opinion.

In the highly anticipated series, which features a strong cast and an impressive story, Özcan Deniz and Özgü Namal are joined by names such as Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Erkan Avcı, Hazal Türesan, Mert Turak, Selen Öztürk, Şerif Erol, Duygu Sarışın, Tuğrul Tülek, Yakup Turgut, Sitare Akbaş, Mina Demirtaş, Esma Yılmaz, Zehra Kelleci and Tuana Gizem Uzunlar.
