Roads remain empty in Istanbul due to elections
As voting continues in Istanbul for the March 31 Local Administration General Elections, the roads have remained empty.
In Istanbul, where voting began at 08:00, citizens started heading to the schools where they will cast their votes from the early hours of the morning.
In the megacity where the voting process is ongoing, citizens have preferred to stay in their homes after casting their votes, despite the pleasant weather.
According to data from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Traffic Density Map, traffic density was measured at 5 percent on the Anatolian Side and 10 percent on the European Side.
