Actor Settar Tanrıöğen, who played the character of 'Abdullah' in the series Kızılcık Şerbeti, had suffered a brain hemorrhage.

According to a report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, it was learned that following his brain hemorrhage, Settar Tanrıöğen has been experiencing temporary memory loss from time to time and has forgotten many details and names related to the series.

The veteran actor had to bid farewell to the project because his recovery process is progressing slowly and will take time.

WHO IS SETTAR TANRIÖĞEN?

Settar Tanrıöğen was born on October 22, 1960, in the Merkezefendi district of Denizli.

A graduate of Hacettepe University's Department of Archaeology and Art History, Settar Tanrıöğen became known in the 90s for his character 'Saldıray Abi' in the show Bir Demet Tiyatro, which also featured Yılmaz Erdoğan, Demet Akbağ, Erdal Tosun, Zerrin Sümer, Serhat Özcan, and Erdoğan Dikmen.

In 2009, Settar Tanrıöğen starred in the film Vavien alongside Binnur Kaya, Engin Günaydın, Ercan Kesal, İlker Aksum, and Serra Yılmaz, and won the Best Supporting Actor award at the SİYAD Turkish Cinema Awards for his role as Cemal.

In 2010, he starred in the film Gölgeler ve Suretler (Shadows and Faces), written and directed by Derviş Zaim, which focuses on the issues between Greek and Turkish Cypriots, alongside Buğra Gülsoy, Hazar Ergüçlü, and Osman Alkaş. He won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2011 Ankara Film Festival for his portrayal of the character Cevdet.

In 2015, he played the role of Cengiz in the film Saklı, written and directed by Selim Evci, starring alongside İlhan Şeşen, Türkü Turan, Pelin Akil, Şehnaz Bölen, and Ümit Çırak.

In 2015, he played the lead role in the comedy film Hayalet Dayı, directed by Ali Yorgancıoğlu.

Settar Tanrıöğen played the character of Salih Çelik in the series Baba Candır between 2015 and 2017. Most recently, he was bringing the character of Abdullah to life in the series Kızılcık Şerbeti.
