She had undergone a bone marrow transplant: Statement regarding Cansever's health status

Cansever, who left her mark on an era and is known for memorable songs such as “Ağla Gözbebeğim”, “Sen de Gittin”, and “Kime Bu İnat”, had been struggling with health issues for some time. The artist, who has been living in Germany for a long time, shared with the public that she had been diagnosed with leukemia in a statement she made on social media last year. The artist continued to keep her fans informed about her treatment process at regular intervals.

Preparing for a bone marrow transplant in March, Cansever had stated that she would undergo surgery once a suitable donor was found and expressed that the process had reached a critical stage. In a post she made from the hospital on March 26, the artist announced that the day of the surgery was approaching and found morale in the support messages she received from her followers and the art world.

Cansever, who asked for prayers via social media before the surgery, was flooded with messages of support from her fans.

The encouraging news after the operation came from the artist's manager, Erhan Arı. In his statement, Arı used the following expressions:

"Cansever's leukemia treatment, which has been ongoing for months, was successfully concluded with the bone marrow transplant operation that took place on Thursday, March 26. Her treatment will continue in the hospital for some time. We thank all our loved ones who supported us during this process. Please do not spare your prayers."
