Statement from Umut Candan, mother of Bahar Candan and Nihal Candan
Umut Candan, the mother of sisters Nihal and Bahar Candan, who are accused of fraud and money laundering, spoke about her daughters' arrest. Candan said, "When my daughters come to my house, they even ask me before taking a walnut from the cupboard. The criminals are out there, and my daughters are inside."
Famous influencers Bahar Candan and Nihal Candan, who were detained in Istanbul on charges of "membership in a criminal organization" and "laundering assets derived from crime," were arrested by the judicial authorities to which they were referred and sent to prison.
The Candan sisters' mother, Umut Candan, stated that her daughters are innocent.
'I TRUST THE PROSECUTORS'
Speaking to 2. Sayfa, Umut Candan said, "I have infinite trust in the Turkish justice system. There was neither money coming in nor money going out through my children. A very big mistake is being made. I trust divine justice, the judges, and the prosecutors. My children's only crime is being present at that dinner. Other than that, my daughters have no guilt whatsoever," she stated.
'THE CRIMINALS ARE OUT THERE, MY DAUGHTERS ARE INSIDE'
Continuing her remarks, mother Candan expressed her outrage, saying, "I know they will be released as soon as possible. My daughters don't even know what they are involved in. My children are such trustworthy people that even when they come to my house, they ask me before taking a walnut from the cupboard. They always ask for my permission; they don't do anything without asking me. The criminals are out there, and my daughters are inside."
