'Kızıl Goncalar', which brings the story of a fictional sect called 'Faniler' to the audience, became a target for certain circles with its first episode and was placed under investigation by RTÜK.

According to the report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, famous actor Can Kızıltuğ has joined the series, which remains at the center of debates due to its subject matter.

Kızıltuğ will play the role of a school friend of Mira, the daughter of Dr. Levent, in the series.

'THEY HAVE DECLARED WAR ON US'

On the other hand, the producer of Kızıl Goncalar, Faruk Turgut, spoke for the first time about the controversial series to Arif Hür from 12punto.

Turgut stated, "We paid the fees for these locations and signed contracts, but we are experiencing problems. Actually, this has been a lesson for me. I will never again enter any place connected to the state. They have declared war on us, but we will fight to the end. These obstacles will cost me a loss of 10 million TL, but so be it. We will find new locations like lions."

We will not give up and we will continue to fight. I am not a man who would be intimidated by fear or threats. If I were a coward, I wouldn't be doing this work.

I could have made shows that put people to sleep and done this profession without touching on sensitive issues. But that wouldn't suit my character."
