14 suspects, including the Polats and several members of their family, were arrested and sent to prison on November 5.
The Anatolia Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting the investigation initiated for the crimes of "Prevention of Laundering Proceeds of Crime, violation of the Tax Procedure Law, and the Law on Regulation of Betting and Games of Chance in Football and Other Sports Competitions."

It has emerged that the imprisoned lawyer Ahmet Gün, described as a key figure in the case, will become a whistleblower.
According to the statement by journalist Murat Ağırel, Ahmet Gün, who is the couple's lawyer, expressed in his testimony to the prosecutor's office that he wishes to benefit from the effective remorse law.
