Teoman: 'Palestine is being left alone'
Famous singer Teoman was spotted in Nişantaşı the other day. Commenting on the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, Teoman said, "What Israel is doing is very horrific. Palestine is being left alone. There are people there who are under blockade and cannot even find water," and added: 'Imperialism does not perish'.
Singer Teoman, who has recently drawn attention with his songs and comments on current events, evaluated the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas.
'PALESTINE IS BEING LEFT ALONE'
Teoman stated, "I don't want to hurt people, but since my childhood, people have marched on the streets saying 'Down with imperialism.' Ultimately, imperialism does not perish. It is not something that can be solved just with protests; sanctions are needed. And usually, the powerful ones decide on that.
Israel is currently in a strong position. On the other hand, Israel is also strengthening its relations with Saudi Arabia. Palestine, however, is being left alone. There are people there who are under blockade and cannot even find water," he said.
'THE HYPOCRISY OF THE WEST'
Touching upon the cancellation of Fazıl Say's concerts abroad due to his support for Palestine, Teoman said, "What Israel is doing has divided people. People are choosing between Israel and Palestine. From a humanitarian perspective, what Israel is doing is very horrific...
Western countries feel close to Israel and are implementing boycotts. However, Fazıl Say should be able to say what he wants. The hypocrisy of the West is revealed here. They talk about human rights, but when it comes to Israel, this doesn't really apply," he said.
