An investigation had been launched regarding the shooting at the workplaces of Ece Ronay's ex-husband, Mehmet Bilir, in Pendik and Kocaeli.

Within the scope of the investigation, after the suspects were identified, a raid was conducted on Ece Ronay's home on December 15. In simultaneous raids, 5 other suspects were apprehended along with Ronay.

Following their procedures at the police station, the 6 suspects were referred to the Anatolian Courthouse, where 3 were arrested, while 3 others, including Ece Ronay, were released under judicial control.

According to the report by Günaydın, Ece Ronay stated in her testimony to the judge, "Mehmet Erdal Bilir is my ex-husband. We were married for about a year. At first, I had given him permission to use the brand rights of my business, 'Ece Ronay Beauty Center.' Later, he started selling them to others without my consent. When I went to the workplace, I saw that the payments made via the POS device were going directly to a person named Vural Kurtlar. I began to hear that Mehmet was gradually starting to associate with people I could describe as shady, and even began building relationships with casino owners in Georgia."

'YOUR KURTKÖY BRANCH IS DOING MAIL ORDER'

In the continuation of her testimony, Ece Ronay said, "One day, I received a message on my account from an account that turned out to be fake under the name 'Muhammet Yakut,' saying, 'You are doing clean business. However, your Kurtköy branch, which operates under your name, is doing mail order.' I told Mehmet about this situation. Mehmet claims he is owed 9 million liras, even though he has no claim against me. He even said this openly on a live broadcast. I made posts calling for an audit of Mehmet's assets. I stated that Mehmet's vehicles were at a gallery called 'Akamotor.' Later, this place was shot at. I never targeted anyone," she said.
