Tragic news from Eskişehir: Academic mother and daughter lose their lives in traffic accident
In Eskişehir, Filiz Bayrakçı Karel and her daughter Yağmur Karel lost their lives after their car collided with a truck. One person was also injured.
Filiz Bayrakçı Karel (47), driving the car with license plate 26 UC 635, collided with a truck with license plate 26 SU 100, driven by M.K. (38), on Zümrüt Street in the Yenikent neighborhood.
In the accident, the car driver, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Filiz Bayrakçı Karel, a faculty member at the Eskişehir Technical University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Environmental Sciences, her daughter Yağmur Karel (15), and the truck driver M.K. were injured.
MEDICAL TEAMS DISPATCHED TO THE SCENE
Upon notification by bystanders, 112 Emergency Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
The injured were taken to the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Health, Application and Research Hospital after initial intervention at the scene of the accident.
Despite all interventions at the hospital, Filiz Bayrakçı Karel and her daughter Yağmur Karel could not be saved.
