16-year-old boy found dead with gunshot wound at grandfather's house in Mardin
16-year-old Devran Sazan, who was staying with his grandfather in the Mazıdağı district, was found shot with a handgun in his room. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
In the Mazıdağı district of Mardin, 16-year-old Devran Sazan was found dead with a gunshot wound at his grandfather's house.
The incident occurred during the night in the rural Sağmal neighborhood of the district. It was stated that Sazan, whose parents work out of town, was staying with his grandfather when a gunshot was heard from the room where he was located.
Following the gunshot, his relatives entered the room and found Devran Sazan shot with a handgun. Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the address.
Checks by the health teams confirmed that Sazan had lost his life. Following the investigation at the scene, the body was taken to the morgue of the Mardin Training and Research Hospital for autopsy procedures.
The gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation to determine how the incident occurred.
