A police operation was conducted at an address in the Çankaya neighborhood of Şanlıurfa's Karaköprü district where a fugitive identified as Celal Çaltı was staying. According to reports, armored police vehicles and special operations teams were dispatched to the area following a tip-off that there was a weapon in the room where Çaltı was located.
Teams taking security measures in the vicinity called on 30-year-old Çaltı to surrender. A clash broke out in the area after the suspect, who allegedly refused to surrender, responded to the police with gunfire.

Following the clash, which reportedly lasted for some time, Çaltı was found dead at the location where he was staying. Medical teams waiting at the scene confirmed that the suspect had lost his life during their examination.
According to initial assessments, it is alleged that Çaltı took his own life with his own weapon. Following the news of his death, tension arose between his relatives and police teams at the scene.
Çaltı's body was taken to the morgue of the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institute for autopsy procedures. An investigation launched to clarify all aspects of the incident is ongoing.
