According to the information obtained, a collapse occurred for reasons yet to be determined in a trench where teams from the Ankara Water and Sewerage Administration (ASKİ) were working. 50-year-old Müslüm Neighborhood Head Bahçeci, who was observing the work, was trapped under the collapse.
Upon notification, health, fire department, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that Bahçeci, who was pulled from under the soil by the teams, had lost his life.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
