‘Cyber’ block on accounts sharing sexually explicit content
Access to accounts sharing sexually explicit content has been blocked in Kayseri.
Teams from the Provincial Police Department's Cybercrime Combat Branch conducted virtual patrols on the internet as part of the fight against crime.
During the operations, it was determined that certain accounts on social media platforms were sharing sexually explicit and pornographic images, as well as content aimed at disrupting the social structure, which are contrary to general moral standards and could negatively affect the psychosocial development of children who might access them.
In order to prevent the spread of these posts on social media platforms and the internet, teams imposed access blocks on 38 URL addresses in accordance with Article 8/1a-5 of Law No. 5651, and in 2025, a total of 108 social media accounts and URL addresses were blocked under the same article of Law No. 5651.
