In a horrific incident that took place yesterday evening in the Merveşehir neighborhood of Gaziantep, Sibel Külah, who was in the process of getting a divorce, was brutally attacked by her husband, Adem Külah.

The 31-year-old mother of two, Sibel Külah, was subjected to torture after being tied up with packing tape by her husband during an argument.

TIED UP WITH PACKING TAPE AND DRENCHED IN ACID

After tying his wife up with packing tape, Adem Külah poured acid over Sibel Külah's head. It was revealed that after the incident, the attacker called his relatives to inform them of the situation. Adem Külah then left the house and went to a Gaziantep police station to turn himself in.

SCALP BURNS AND VISION LOSS

Following the attack, medical teams transported Sibel Külah to the hospital. Külah, who was taken to Gaziantep City Hospital, was admitted to the burn unit for treatment. Medical examinations revealed that her scalp was completely burned due to the acid poured over her head, and she suffered vision loss. Külah's medical condition remains serious.

PERPETRATOR ARRESTED

Adem Külah was referred to the courthouse after his processing at the police station and was arrested by the court.

While Sibel Külah's treatment continues, a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
