The region, which drew attention after world-famous footballer Mohamed Salah took a photo in a highland in Trabzon, has now made headlines due to a theft.
The rock on which the Egyptian star sat became one of the frequent stops for visitors after the photo spread on social media. A sign reading “Salah Highland” was placed in the area, and the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality had placed a bench next to the rock.
It was learned that the sign and the bench in the area, where fans and curious visitors came to take photos, were stolen. Following the incident, residents of Kurtdere Highland prepared a new one to replace the stolen sign.
After the pose Salah gave during his visit to Trabzon, the region received significant interest, especially on social media; football fans began visiting the spot where the photo was taken.
