Some roads in Ankara may be closed to traffic today due to Palestine march
The Ankara Police Department has announced that some routes around Kızılay may be closed to traffic due to the march organized by ANFİDAP on October 7.
Traffic regulations will be in place for some roads in the city center due to the Palestine march to be held in Ankara today. The Ankara Police Department announced that, as part of the march to be held by the Ankara Palestine Solidarity Platform (ANFİDAP) at 19:00, some routes may be closed to traffic if necessary.
According to the announcement made on the police's social media account, the closures may be implemented from 15:00 until the march concludes. It was stated that the routes in question would be closed to vehicle traffic in both directions.
The statement listed the points that may be closed to traffic if necessary as follows:
- - The section of Dr. Mediha Eldem Street between Olgunlar Street and Meşrutiyet Street, and the streets and avenues opening onto it.
- - The section of Kızılırmak Street between Olgunlar Street and Dr. Mediha Eldem Street, and the connected streets and avenues.
- - The section of Mithatpaşa Street between Olgunlar Street and Sıhhiye Junction, and the streets and avenues opening onto it.
- - The entirety of Bankacı Street and the streets and avenues opening onto this street.
- - The section of Atatürk Boulevard between Kızılay Junction and A. Adnan Saygun Street, and the connected streets and avenues.
- - The section of A. Adnan Saygun Street between Atatürk Boulevard and Sanayi Street, and the streets and avenues opening onto it.
Drivers and public transport users are expected to consider alternative routes in and around Kızılay during the event hours.
