Some roads in Istanbul will be closed to traffic today: 'I Run Istanbul' race is being held

Due to the “I Run Istanbul - European Leg” race to be held in Istanbul on Sunday, October 4, some arrangements will be made in city traffic. It has been reported that some roads, particularly on the Historical Peninsula and the coastal route, will be closed to vehicle traffic as part of the event.

The race, organized by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of Youth and Sports Services and İBB Spor İstanbul, has brought route changes to the agenda for drivers who will be out in the city over the weekend.

While traffic flow is expected to be managed in a controlled manner along the race route, it is important for drivers to follow the warnings of traffic teams regarding closed roads and diversions.

Citizens who will be on the road due to the event are advised to plan their travel by taking into account alternative routes, especially around the Historical Peninsula and the coastal line.
