Statement from the Konya Governor's Office regarding the attack on police officers
The Konya Governor's Office has issued a statement regarding the verbal and physical assault on police officers by a business owner and their employees during a routine check on a street in Konya.
In a statement posted on the Konya Governor's Office's X account, it was stated: "Regarding the incident that took place on Friday, July 18, 2025, in our Selçuklu district during a routine public order check conducted by our police teams, a business owner and their employees on the street reacted to the check being conducted in front of their workplace and engaged in a verbal and physical assault against our on-duty police officers.
In the incident, 6 of our police officers sustained minor injuries, 2 individuals identified as being involved in the incident have been arrested, and a judicial control decision has been issued for 1 individual. The investigation into the matter is being conducted meticulously."
