Tragic news: Baby struck by stray bullet while at home
In the Söke district of Aydın, a stray bullet fired from a passing wedding convoy struck an 11-month-old baby who was playing with her mother at home. The baby was rushed to the hospital but could not be saved despite all interventions.
The incident occurred on Bayındır Street in the Çeltikçi neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a stray bullet fired from a passing wedding convoy struck 11-month-old Pera Palabıyık while she was playing with her mother at home.
The bullet ricocheted off the ceiling of their home and struck baby Pera in the head. The baby, left covered in blood, was rushed to Söke Fehime Faik Kocagöz State Hospital but lost her life despite all medical interventions.
The 11-month-old baby's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy. Teams from the Söke District Police Department are continuing their efforts to identify the convoy that passed by at the time of the incident and to apprehend those responsible.

Çeltikçi Neighborhood Headman Murat Bahadır issued a call to the neighborhood residents, stating, "Dear residents of Çeltikçi neighborhood.
A stray bullet has struck a small child in the area of Bayındır Street and the Yavuz Selim High School side of the Cumhuriyet neighborhood.
If any of our citizens have information regarding the sound of gunfire or the person who fired it in this vicinity around 14:00 today, I kindly request that they provide a statement to the police officers," he said.
