Two sisters found dead by a creek in Ordu
A search by relatives for sisters Melehat and Fatma Gümüş, who had gone to their orchard to harvest hazelnuts in the Çamaş district, ended in tragic news.
Two sisters who left their home to harvest hazelnuts in the Çamaş district of Ordu have been found dead. The incident occurred in the Sarıyakup neighborhood of the district.
According to the information obtained, Melehat Gümüş (60) and Fatma Gümüş (65), who went to the orchard to harvest hazelnuts in the morning, did not return home in the evening. Their relatives, unable to reach the two sisters, initiated a search in the area.

During the search, the lifeless bodies of Melehat Gümüş and Fatma Gümüş were found by the creek. Upon notification, gendarmerie and 112 Emergency Health teams were dispatched to the scene.
Medical teams confirmed that the two women had lost their lives. The bodies of the sisters were taken to the hospital morgue following the necessary forensic procedures.
An investigation into the incident has been launched by the gendarmerie.
