New broadcasting address for TELE2 Haber announced
TELE2 Haber had suspended its broadcasts following RTÜK's demand for a license fee. The team's new platform has been announced as Tele3 Haber.
The new broadcasting address for TELE2 Haber, which was established by former TELE1 employees and broadcast via YouTube, has been determined. It was announced that the team, which had ended its broadcasts, will now continue under the name "Tele3 Haber".
TELE2 Haber Editor-in-Chief Süleyman Sarılar announced the new address in a post on his social media account, stating, "Our new broadcasting platform, Tele3 Haber, is entrusted to you, our viewers.."
TELE2 Haber had previously decided to stop its broadcasts after announcing that RTÜK had demanded a fee of 2 million lira for two licenses.
TELE2 programmer Murat Taylan had stated in his announcement that the requested license fee could not be met due to economic conditions. Taylan had said, "Shortly after TELE2 Haber started broadcasting, RTÜK demanded two licenses from us at once. The license fee RTÜK put before us is 2 million lira."
Taylan had stated that the legal deadline had been reached and the license fee could not be paid, and therefore broadcasts under the name TELE2 Haber were terminated. With the new announcement, it was reported that the team would continue its broadcasts under the name Tele3 Haber.
