Ali Mahir Başarır reveals the person trading bulletproof glass to Israel
CHP's Ali Mahir Başarır alleged that bulletproof glass is being traded to Israel and that this business is being conducted by the company of the former AKP Mersin provincial chairman.
Republican People's Party (CHP) Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır has presented documents to the public revealing that bulletproof glass is being traded to Israel.
Başarır alleged that the logistics support for the bulletproof glass, which is sent from Mersin Port to Greece and then to Israel, is provided by the Salt Group company, owned by former AKP Mersin provincial chairman Mekin Merter Salt.
According to Başarır's statement, the company producing the glass is Stargrup Cam Anonim Şirketi. The products of this company are sent from Istanbul to Mersin, and Salt Group handles the storage and loading of these products. The goods are exported first to Greece and then to Israel.

Drawing attention to the humanitarian crisis in Palestine, Ali Mahir Başarır said, "Since the day Israel's unilateral attacks began, we have demanded that commercial relations be severed. However, the government denied this demand of ours and brushed off the situation with partial bans. We will show the public that this government provides insincere and misleading information regarding Palestine."
Başarır stated, "Salt Group's owner, Mekin Merter Salt, is a former AKP provincial chairman. This person exports bulletproof glass to Israel via the Port of Piraeus in Greece. We will disclose this information to the public with barcodes and documents. This is shamelessness and insincerity. This is mocking the public and their conscience. When it comes to commercial relations, the AKP's conscience and priorities disappear."

HE WAS ARRESTED FOR FETÖ
It has emerged that Mekin Merter, the former AKP Mersin provincial chairman whom Ali Mahir Başarır alleges is trading bulletproof glass to Israel, was arrested for FETÖ links.
Following the July 15 coup attempt, former AKP Provincial Chairman Mekin Merter Salt and Central Mediterranean Customs and Trade Regional Director Murat Kahraman, who were detained in Mersin during the cleanup operations launched across the country, were arrested by the court after being held in custody for a long time.
