Following the removal and arrest of Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, a new development has occurred.

A raid was conducted on the home of Osman Yalçın, who serves as one of Özer's deputy mayors.

As part of an ongoing investigation, police teams carried out an operation at Yalçın's residence. However, it was learned that Yalçın was not at home.

The prosecutor's office has issued a detention warrant for Yalçın. Authorities stated that efforts to locate Yalçın are ongoing.

Yalçın was serving as a deputy to Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, who was removed from office and replaced by a government-appointed trustee in the previous period.

Yalçın was responsible for departments such as the Directorate of Science Affairs, the Directorate of Parks and Gardens, the Directorate of Licensing and Inspection, and the Directorate of Municipal Police. It is stated that the investigation covers allegations related to this period.

WHO IS OSMAN YALÇIN?

He was born in 1988 in the Malazgirt district of Muş.

He completed his primary education at Alparslan Primary School and subsequently graduated from Malazgirt Alparslan High School. After receiving his architectural education abroad, he returned to Turkey.

He has been residing in the Esenyurt district of Istanbul for a long time.

Osman Yalçın, who is a member of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Council and served as a deputy to Ahmet Özer at Esenyurt Municipality, is married and a father of two.
