Bahçeli’s message for Turkic World Day: May brotherhood and cooperation strengthen
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli emphasized solidarity among Turkic states in a message released for the October 3 Turkic World Day.
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli expressed his wish for the further strengthening of brotherhood, solidarity, and cooperation among Turkic states and kinsmen in a message released for the October 3 Turkic World Day.
Bahçeli stated that the Nakhchivan Agreement, signed by Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan on October 3, 2009, was an important turning point in moving multilateral cooperation in the Turkic world onto an institutional foundation.
Reminding that the foundations of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States, known as the Turkic Council, were laid with the agreement, Bahçeli noted that this will gained an institutional character with the summit held in Istanbul in 2010.
Noting that relations between Turkic states have expanded over time beyond politics and diplomacy into the fields of economy, transportation, energy, education, culture, security, science, and technology, Bahçeli recalled that the name of the Turkic Council was changed to the “Organization of Turkic States” at the 8th Summit held in Istanbul on November 12, 2021.
Bahçeli emphasized that the future of the Turkic world will be shaped by preserving historical memory, strengthening cultural ties, and transforming common heritage into concrete gains in the fields of science, technology, economy, education, and diplomacy.
We hope that the law of brotherhood, solidarity, and cooperation between Turkic states and our kinsmen will be further strengthened. May the unity, peace, and future of the Turkic world be eternal.
