Breaking News... Critical statement from Devlet Bahçeli ahead of the CHP Congress case: 'The coming days...'

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel's remarks in an interview with the Financial Times, where he stated that "mass protests that could bring life to a standstill could be organized if the pressures continue," have sparked debate in politics. MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli issued a written statement without mentioning Özel by name, warning against provocation.

"DAYS OPEN TO ALL KINDS OF PROVOCATION"

Bahçeli stated, "The coming days are open and prone to all kinds of provocation. Those who call for civil disobedience, who shamelessly make statements to foreign media outlets about bringing life to a standstill in Turkey, and who seek the political reputation and morality they have lost in the darkness of the streets, are in search of and desire this climate of provocation."

Bahçeli included the following statements in the remainder of his written declaration:

"In recent days, there have been unusual encounters and coincidences with disturbing definitions and descriptions such as child hitman, child murderer, child criminal, and child terrorist.

Another frustrating crux of the matter is the systematic and intense deployment of propaganda tactics by constantly bringing children and crime together.

This situation is essentially about consciously or unconsciously smearing the human existence of the future, and in this context, securing potential losses of self-confidence with masked concepts.

First of all, the word child means innocence in its true and broad sense.

The provisions of the laws in force contain detailed regulations regarding children who are not yet of age and are legally exempt from exercising their legal capacity.

The objective analysis and research of the worrying erosion of moral and ethical values, which melt away like snow under the shadow of social, economic, psychological, and even material-based life that encourages children to commit crimes on a small scale, is a hot agenda item that requires urgency.

It should be especially known that children are our future, and just as we cannot compromise on our future, we have no right to make savings on it.

It is a need beyond necessity to address the multi-variable processes that pave the way for a child to turn into a murderer and terrorist, and which invite the construction of a dirty environment where a weapon is placed in their hands, with a combined and complex struggle strategy.

Everyone in the chain of responsibility, starting primarily with mothers and fathers, up to the goal of raising children to be useful to the society they live in, as well as being clean-moraled and good people, must think carefully and honestly about the regrettable developments that occupy our country.

It is indisputable that unconscious relationships stemming from excessive and indescribable excitements; and familial and environmental weaknesses that cause a deprivation of love, respect, and national and moral values will drag children into loneliness and degeneration.

The exploitation of children is a grave and imminent threat before us.

The internal and external treason bloc is finding and including children who are suitable for use and command as exploitation apparatuses in the broad front strategy it applies to gain strength.

It is certain that children who fall into the suggestions, setups, and traps of organized crime groups, street gangs, and foreign intelligence mechanisms turn into a deadly weapon.

Simultaneously with the frightening increase in the spiral of social violence, the intensifying desire and appetite of certain circles to terrorize the streets unfortunately see the sensitivity and fragility of childhood as an opportunity.

A 16-year-old terrorist whose will, future, and honor have been seized, who attacked a police station in İzmir's Balçova district with a long-barreled weapon, and the murder committed by a person who is only 15 years old in Ankara's Pursaklar district over a trivial matter, should essentially put everyone and all of us on alert.

Just as a child cannot be a murderer, explaining and interpreting a murderer or terrorist as a child is a severe mistake.

Those who commit crimes, those who incite them, and those who show negligence and indifference should not be shown any mercy.

Our nation is deeply concerned and wounded by what is happening.

While we are making steady and courageous progress towards the goal of a Turkey without terrorism, no one who acts as a subcontractor for internal and external hostility centers that plan to open a gap in the environment of national peace and public order, and who look for a soft underbelly in this context, should be tolerated for any reason.

The coming days are open and prone to all kinds of provocation.

Those who call for civil disobedience, who shamelessly make statements to foreign media outlets about bringing life to a standstill in Turkey, and who seek the political reputation and morality they have lost in the darkness of the streets, are in search of and desire this climate of provocation.

In these days we are going through, it is an inevitable necessity to be vigilant at all levels, to act with caution and prudence, and to show political, legal, and national resistance to the volleys of internal and external hostility.

In particular, the fight against criminals whom Turkey's enemies have recruited by infiltrating different channels (especially social media) or are trying to recruit must be carried out fiercely.

No member of the Turkish nation will be able to enter the ranks of the enemy, and those who do, even if they are children, will not be shown tolerance.

If the deepening crimes and increasing criminals, which we call a crime spiral, are slowing down, hindering, or eliminating the education, efforts, and work of the high-standard human profile we need, then of course we cannot speak only of a criminal attack against individuals.

In this case, it means we are facing a great danger to the present and future of the Turkish nation.

For the moral and legal protection of our people, our children, and the family;

The efforts of our educational institutions to instill national morality in generations;

The actions of our social service and security institutions aimed at protection and compassion;

The efforts of our units responsible for religious affairs to replace the (so-called) faith area of the problem;

The financial aid and moral support of our administrators at all levels to those waiting for help are worthy of all praise.

It is known to everyone, more or less, that the increasingly widespread problem of violence has a four-legged solution dimension.

The first of these is the hardworking and self-sacrificing law enforcement dimension that will deter the criminal and reveal the crime and the criminal,

The second is the justice dimension that will evaluate the crimes committed and sentence the perpetrators to the punishments they deserve,

The third is the execution dimension where those whose crimes have been finalized will be isolated from society until they are satisfied that they have been disciplined,

And finally, the legislative dimension that defines the crime and determines the boundaries of the crime, misdemeanor, or fault, and how and what punishments will be given for which crime.

There should be no doubt that law enforcement, judicial authorities, and penal institutions are performing their duties with devotion in ensuring security, peace, and justice, which are multi-faceted and integrated with each other.

In the fight against crime and criminality, which are increasing in number and diversifying in type, one must be grateful to every person who spends all their time ensuring the security and well-being of our people, especially the personnel of the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Interior.

It is a plain fact that they perform the authority, responsibility, and obligations given to them by the state with devotion, considering it a national duty.

If the bandits and murderers that our law enforcement officers collect one by one from houses, roads, and cells at the cost of their lives are to be released in the corridors of the courthouse for some reason,

It will naturally not be possible to explain this with justifications such as;

“Presumption of innocence”

“Insufficient evidence”

“Lack of witnesses”,

“Loophole in the laws”

“Judicial control condition”.

Moreover, if we are going to release the ones we catch again, and repeat this ten, fifteen, twenty-five times; the situation will begin to become extremely suspicious.

In this context, we urgently propose a comprehensive legal regulation regarding the subject we mentioned:

Making the philosophy of preventive law enforcement and deterrent justice fully operational,

Clarifying and limiting the processes related to the definition, use, carrying, and procurement of illegal and legal weapons, including hunting weapons,

Defining, classifying, and identifying all acts or provocative words, actions, and thoughts that encourage, incite, provoke, and motivate crime and criminals in the internet environment; visual media, written media, and social media fields,

Taking new legal measures regarding the investigation, prosecution, and execution stages in order to prevent children from being dragged into crime,

Re-evaluating the sentence reductions envisaged for children in the 15-18 age group,

Continuing the relentless fight against street gangs that lead children to commit crimes,

Capturing criminals along with the evidence of their crimes,

Completing fair, equitable, and conscience-clearing trials rapidly in accordance with the basic principles of law,

Completely removing the "perception of impunity" that has settled in the public opinion,

Destroying the established beliefs that what one does will go unpunished,

Preventing the resort to illegal individual ways of seeking rights by spreading the belief that the state does not distribute justice are the main headings of our proposal.

It is known how the FETÖ terrorist organization, which wants to drag the nation and the state into a crisis and mortgage our future, has infiltrated even the most intimate areas.

In this respect, it is necessary to immediately question whether a "new parallel structure" that exploits the confusion of crime, criminal, criminality, and punishment for the purpose of creating chaos has infiltrated our national body.

Besides this, it must be evaluated whether we are within the scope of a multi-dimensional psychological operation along with an intelligence attack.

At this stage we have reached, neutralizing the increase in immorality, criminality, treason, lack of conscience, and dishonesty, and the existing threats that haunt the values that keep us together, through legal, social/psychological/sociological/moral reforms is an unavoidable duty towards history and the nation.

A legal order must be established where criminal and degenerate mentalities with ten, twenty, or thirty criminal records cannot run wild,

Where those in this category cannot complete unfinished murders with permission received while in prison,

Where one cannot escape being a murderer because the bullet they fired grazed the target and walk around with a weekly signature,

Where one cannot attack somewhere every day and walk out of the court they are taken to after the responsibility area of the law enforcement forces ends,

Where one cannot kill their wife because she wanted to leave, by coming with an electronic shackle on their foot, or beat her to death and escape,

Where innocent people do not hide in their homes out of fear; where thugs cannot wander the streets recklessly,

Where it is reconsidered how thousands of pump-action shotguns are obtained, with what permission they are carried, and why they are fired in public in places where no one goes hunting.

Just as the enemy defines those who set their eyes on our land and existence,

It should not be forgotten that those who commit crimes with cruel and monstrous feelings, those who are the hitmen of terrorism and foreign enemies, and those who attack our national culture, national character, and national existence will be gathered in the internal enemy cluster.

It is the duty of all of us to act with a spirit of mobilization so that new ones are not added to the extinguished and extinguished lives of our children named Ahmet Minguzzi in Istanbul, Hira Aygar in Mersin, Ata Emre Akman in Balıkesir, and Hakan Çakır and Fatih Acacı in Ankara, alongside the murders of our women and girls.

We cannot risk the hopes of the new century and the guarantees of our future.

We cannot turn a blind eye to our future generations being trapped in helplessness and a life surrounded by fear, and we never will."
