Chaos erupts in the Turkish Parliament: MHP deputy slams fist on table, charges at IYI Party deputy!

Tensions rose during the deliberations on the "framework law" proposal at the Turkish Parliament's Justice Commission.

Taking the floor at the commission, IYI Party Adana Deputy Ayyüce Türkeş Taş stated that she did not understand why the deliberations on the legislative proposal were being rushed into a single day, adding that legislative activity is a "serious business." Türkeş Taş emphasized that the deliberations should be conducted in a more sound manner.

"THEY CANNOT CLEANSE THEIR OWN FILTH..."

In one part of her speech, Ayyüce Türkeş Taş reacted to the use of the political legacy of her father and former MHP Chairman Alparslan Türkeş. Stating that she did not agree with the assessments that the MHP has followed the same policy since 1969, Taş said, "The politics Türkeş practiced ended in 1997."

Following Taş's remark, "They cannot cleanse their own filth by using Türkeş as bleach for themselves," MHP's Muhammed Levent Bülbül reacted. Bülbül said, "Watch your mouth, you are the filth. You cannot call what the MHP Leader does filth."

In response to Bülbül's words, Türkeş Taş replied, "I did not call the Chairman filth or anything of the sort." As the tension continued, Bülbül said, "We are fighting so that no one threatens you in this world," and slammed his fist on the table.

At this moment, when IYI Party Balıkesir Deputy Burak Dalgın reacted by saying, "What are you doing?", Bülbül stood up and charged at Dalgın. Other deputies in the hall intervened to try and calm the parties down.
