CHP's Bankoğlu speaks for the first time: She threw a copy of the constitution at Bekir Bozdağ, who read the Can Atalay ruling

The ruling regarding imprisoned TİP Hatay MP Can Atalay, sentencing him to 18 years in prison in the Gezi Park trial, was read in the TBMM General Assembly yesterday.

Despite the Constitutional Court having issued two separate rulings of rights violations, the decision on Can Atalay was read in the General Assembly, and his parliamentary membership was revoked.

A copy of the constitution was thrown at Deputy Speaker of the TBMM Bekir Bozdağ, who was presiding over the General Assembly, while he was reading the ruling.

"I COULDN'T HELP MYSELF..."

It was learned that the person who threw the booklet was CHP Bartın MP Aysu Bankoğlu.

In a statement to Sözcü regarding the incident, CHP Bartın MP Aysu Bankoğlu said, "It wasn't planned; I went to show the constitution, but I couldn't help myself and threw it."
