Ekrem İmamoğlu's response to Kurum on 'Kandil': 'They will be in total ruin...'
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu responded to the remarks by People's Alliance IMM mayoral candidate Murat Kurum, who claimed, "İmamoğlu is the candidate of the Kandil consensus." Reacting sharply to Kurum, İmamoğlu stated, "May God grant him wisdom. They will be so overwhelmed... They will be in total ruin in the politics of slander."
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu answered questions from journalists following the opening of the Fatih Land Walls Belgradkapı 2nd Stage Restoration.
İmamoğlu responded to the slander by Murat Kurum, the IMM mayoral candidate of the People's Alliance formed by the AKP and MHP, who claimed, "İmamoğlu is the candidate of the Kandil consensus."
Calling Kurum "a very amateur friend," İmamoğlu said, "We don't know if he is saying it himself or if others are making him say it. May God grant him wisdom. They will be so overwhelmed... They will be in total ruin in the politics of slander."
CRITICISM OF KURUM REGARDING EIA REPORT
Criticizing Kurum over the mining disaster in İliç, Erzincan, İmamoğlu stated, "He is a person who cannot even grasp the process regarding the EIA report issue. Kurum is walking around as if nothing happened. Unfortunately, we are facing a candidate who is devoid of much information."
