Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu made a statement on his X account regarding the incident where Somali President's son Mohammed Hassan Shekh Mohamud caused the death of motorcycle courier Yunus Emre Göçer after hitting him in Istanbul.

In his statement, İmamoğlu said, "The Somali President's son hits motorcycle courier Yunus Emre Göçer, causing his death, and is released. I wish God's mercy upon Göçer and offer my condolences to his family. We will not let this go. I will follow the legal process to the end on behalf of tens of thousands of motorcycle courier workers!"

In his statement, İmamoğlu reacted to the fact that the Somali President's son was not arrested. Stating that he would follow the legal process, İmamoğlu emphasized that he stands with the motorcycle courier workers.
