Erdoğan speaks at the Religious Council: Targets a TV series and calls on RTÜK
In his speech at the 7th Religious Council, President Erdoğan claimed that religious people are being targeted. Criticizing the effects of the digital world on society, Erdoğan emphasized that RTÜK must take swift measures.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made significant remarks at the 7th Religious Council held at the Presidency of Religious Affairs Conference Hall.
Drawing attention to the negative effects of digital media on social values, Erdoğan stated that attacks targeting the family structure and religious values are unacceptable.

"While the digital world destroys values on a global scale, it directly puts Muslims in the crosshairs," said Erdoğan, noting that children, in particular, are moving away from traditional upbringing due to the influence of digital media. Stating that digital media is not just a tool for entertainment but is in an effort to create an artificial religion by eroding all religions on a global scale, Erdoğan said that this influence is increasing.

A NATIONAL SECURITY ISSUE
President Erdoğan characterized the targeting of segments of society that defend religious and moral values as a national security issue. "Our citizens who wear turbans, have beards, wear headscarves, chadors, or robes are being immorally attacked, and character assassinations are being carried out," said Erdoğan, adding that such attacks will not be permitted.
Emphasizing that mocking the beliefs and values of society is unacceptable, Erdoğan said, "Our relevant institutions, especially RTÜK, must take swift and effective measures."
