Fatih Erbakan's remarks on Adnan Oktar: 'Our teacher Erbakan told us to benefit from his books'

Yeniden Refah Party (YRP) Chairman Fatih Erbakan made important statements regarding allegations linking him to Adnan Oktar during İpek Özbey’s program on Sözcü TV. Responding to a question posed by Özbey following the Supreme Court of Appeals' decision to uphold the sentence given to Adnan Oktar, Erbakan replied, "It is impossible for us to be a disciple of someone else."

'TROLLED ACCOUNTS TRIED TO ESTABLISH THIS RELATIONSHIP'

Stating that the criticisms directed at him were put forward by "troll accounts," Erbakan said, "Having grown up beside my father, who was a world-class person in both material and spiritual sciences, it is out of the question for us to look for a teacher elsewhere or to be a disciple of someone else."

WE BENEFITED FROM OKTAR'S BOOKS

Erbakan noted that Necmettin Erbakan believed the content of the books written by Oktar should be utilized, stating: "Teacher Erbakan suggested that we make use of the books written against the theory of evolution, but that we should stay away from their private lives."

THE PRESIDENT ALSO HAS PHOTOS

Regarding the photos taken with the Oktar group, Erbakan said, "The President also has photos. In those periods, these people came to the party and municipalities and had photos taken. We have no responsibility regarding these photos."

I WENT FOR A RETURN VISIT TO THEIR OFFICES

When asked by İpek Özbey during the program, "Did you go to their venue?", Erbakan replied, "We went to their venue, tea and coffee were drunk, and we chatted. We made a return visit following the visit they paid to the late Teacher Erbakan. We just chatted and they presented their books."

Erbakan stated that they did not approve of Oktar's lifestyle and some of his statements, but that the content of his books was seen as useful at the time, and continued his words as follows: "The written works are books that stand on solid ground with their bibliographies and citations. However, it is impossible for us to approve of the group reaching this state later on."
