Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya becomes a target for political Islamists too: Even her own circle has turned its back

The report stated, "It is not enough for Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya to resign from her positions in the AK Party; she or the authorities must come forward and enlighten the public."

İslami Analiz announced Kaya's resignation with the headline, "AK Party Deputy Chair Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya, whose name was mentioned in the fund scandal, has resigned." The report included the allegations regarding the fund and share transactions brought up against Kaya and also relayed the demand for an explanation from former AKP deputy Şamil Tayyar.

Yeni Akit columnist Ali Karahasanoğlu also addressed the debate in his article titled, "If the allegation is true, the money must be returned immediately." Stating that the full details are not yet known, Karahasanoğlu expressed that it must be explained how the transaction took place and who holds the responsibility.

Karahasanoğlu argued that if the allegations prove to be true, any profit exceeding the value increase under normal market conditions should be returned. In his article, he included the assessment, "If such a wrong was truly committed, whatever is seen as unjust gain must be returned."
