Immunity shock for 6 deputies, including Özgür Özel and Tuncer Bakırhan

Active days are being experienced in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. Legislative summaries prepared for CHP Chairman and Manisa Deputy Özgür Özel, DEM Party Co-Chairman and Batman Deputy Tuncer Bakırhan, CHP Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt, CHP Izmir Deputy Ahmet Tuncay Özkan, TİP Istanbul Deputy Ahmet Şık, and IYI Party Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Günban have been submitted to the Speaker of the TBMM.

MOST SUMMARIES FOR ÖZEL

The distribution of the 11 submitted summaries drew attention. Accordingly:

4 summaries were prepared for CHP leader Özgür Özel,

2 summaries for CHP Istanbul Deputy Cemal Enginyurt,

2 summaries for TİP Deputy Ahmet Şık.

The other summaries were prepared for DEM Party Co-Chairman Tuncer Bakırhan, CHP Izmir Deputy Ahmet Tuncay Özkan, and IYI Party Gaziantep Deputy Mehmet Mustafa Günban.

CHP APPLICATION TO THE COMMITTEE

The Speaker of the TBMM referred the summaries to the Joint Committee, which consists of members of the Constitutional and Justice Committees. The CHP Group took action and requested the details of the 4 summaries belonging to Özgür Özel.

HOW WILL THE PROCESS WORK?

The summaries will be discussed in the Joint Committee. In line with the committee's report, the General Assembly of the Parliament will decide whether or not to lift the immunities.
