Kılıçdaroğlu's 'UAV' reaction: 'Is this how you will defend our country's rights with such timid statements?'
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu shared a post on his social media account regarding the UAV shot down in Syria by a US warplane.
CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu made a statement on his social media account Twitter/X regarding the downing of a Turkish UAV by the US in Syria and the subsequent events.
Stating that the government is trying to brush off the incident, Kılıçdaroğlu addressed them by asking, "As the people managing the state, is this how you will defend our country's rights with such timid statements?" and used the following expressions:
"Our helicopter is shot down, we hear it from another country. Our ship is raided, we hear it from another country. Now our UAV is shot down, and again we hear it from another country," said Kılıçdaroğlu. "The US says 'self-defense,' while our Ministry of Foreign Affairs tries to brush off what happened by saying 'different technical assessments.' As the people managing the state, is this how you will defend our country's rights with such timid statements? Are we going to shape our foreign policy based on 'what will the US say, what will Russia say, what will Italy say'?"
