President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Presidential Complex in Ankara.
Following the meeting, which was the fourth to take place within the last year and lasted for 1.5 hours, Erdoğan and Mitsotakis made a joint statement.
Erdoğan stated the following:
"Our consensus with Greece on the fight against terrorism is growing stronger. We are in agreement that there is no place for terrorist organizations in the future of our region," said Erdoğan, adding, "It was a constructive meeting with Mitsotakis. We also addressed the issues in Turkish-Greek relations. We expect the positive atmosphere in our relations to contribute to the fulfillment of the rights of the Turkish minority and our kinsmen in Greece.
It is important for the Cyprus issue to be resolved in a fair and lasting manner based on the realities on the Island. Such a step will strengthen the stability and peace of our region. The international community, especially Western countries, must now raise its voice louder against the massacre of more than 35 thousand innocent Palestinian civilians," he said.
