The ongoing disputes between the MHP and the DEM Party have taken on a new dimension following a written statement by Semih Yalçın. Describing the politics pursued by the DEM Party as "ethnic separatism," Yalçın claimed that politics conducted through Kurdish identity do not find resonance in society. He expressed that the DEM Party needs to change its approach in light of this situation.

In recent days, statements made by DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan regarding MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli have caused discomfort within the MHP camp. Semih Yalçın characterized Bakırhan's remarks about Bahçeli as "crude" and stated directly, "We vehemently reject the crude tone adopted by DEM Party Co-Chair Tuncer Bakırhan toward our esteemed Chairman due to his disappointment. We tell Bakırhan, 'Know your place!'"

Emphasizing the steadfastness of the MHP's political line, Yalçın stated that even if their party were to remain the "Last of the Mohicans" in the country, they would not compromise their stance.

Arguing that the criticisms coming from the DEM Party are "empty propaganda," Yalçın expressed that they would not deviate from their political path.
