Moving post from İmamoğlu's lawyer! 'My bill was paid on behalf of İmamoğlu'

Mehmet Pehlivan, the lawyer for Ekrem İmamoğlu, the arrested and removed President of the Union of Municipalities of Türkiye and Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, recounted a dialogue he had with a shopkeeper following İmamoğlu's trial. 

Pehlivan said, "Many people ask, 'Will we really be able to overcome these injustices?' Yesterday, after Mr. İmamoğlu's hearing, I was eating alone somewhere. When I asked for the bill, the waiter approached and said, 'Mayor Ekrem has paid your bill, enjoy your meal.'" he stated.

Pehlivan noted the following:

Ekrem İmamoğlu has entrusted himself to his nation. And his nation is standing by both him and his struggle for justice.

There is no room for despair.  Yes, we will overcome. Yes, we will win.
