New seating arrangement in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey: Yeni Parti to be seated next to AKP
Following the increase in the number of political party groups in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) to 7, a temporary seating arrangement for the General Assembly has been redetermined.
Following the establishment of the Yeni Parti and the subsequent rise in the number of political party groups to 7 in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), a temporary seating arrangement has been redetermined. In the new layout, the Yeni Parti will be seated next to the AKP.
It was stated that after TBMM Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş held meetings with officials from the Yeni Parti and the CHP, a letter regarding the new seating plan was sent to the parties. The letter noted that due to the number of political party groups represented in Parliament increasing to 7, there was a need to redetermine the seating arrangement in the General Assembly.
In his letter, Kurtulmuş reported that a temporary application would be in effect until the Presidential Council makes a final decision on the matter. Accordingly, one of the two front rows currently used by the DEM Parti will be allocated to the CHP Group.
According to the temporary arrangement, based on the seating of the Presidential Council, the order from the far left will be the AKP, Yeni Parti, DEM Parti, CHP, MHP, İYİ Parti, and Yeni Yol Partisi groups.
