Starting his speech by giving messages on the 105th anniversary of the Sivas Congress, Özel stated that they would come to power in the first elections.

"Our congresses do not take instructions from leaders, they do not take tasks. They give tasks," said Özel, adding, "The CHP is the only and strongest option for power. We will bring our party to power in the first election to be held."

Giving a message of full membership to the European Union, Özel used the expressions, "Our goal is full membership in the European Union. The goal of the CHP is a Turkey that is strong, wealthy, competing with the world, and a full member of the EU."
