According to a statement from the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, the meeting addressed relations between Turkey and Italy, Israel's massacres in Palestinian territories, and regional and global issues.

During the call, President Erdoğan stated that pressure must be increased to stop Israel's brutal attacks on Palestine and to force the Israeli administration to comply with international law.

GAZA DISCUSSED

Erdoğan expressed that, in addition to achieving an urgent and permanent ceasefire in Gaza, Turkey's priority is the release of hostages and prisoners, as well as the uninterrupted delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.

President Erdoğan told Italian Prime Minister Meloni that he hopes Italy, like Spain, Ireland, and Norway, will stand on the right side of history and join this fair stance by recognizing the State of Palestine.
