Statement from Pasifik GYO, whose asset freeze was lifted in the fund investigation: We have no connection to the problematic funds
Pasifik GYO, which was among the companies whose asset freeze was lifted, denied the allegations in a KAP statement and announced that it would initiate legal proceedings.
Following the lifting of restrictions on 45 companies and 19 funds in the fund investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a statement has been issued by Pasifik GYO, which was named in the list.
It was stated that Pasifik Gayrimenkul Yatırım İnşaat A.Ş., where Fatih Erdoğan, the husband of AKP Ankara Deputy Asuman Erdoğan, serves as the chairman of the board, was among the companies whose asset freezes were lifted in accordance with the new notification from the Capital Markets Board (SPK).
In the statement made to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the company argued that it has no relationship with the "problematic funds" that have been on the public agenda. The statement expressed that neither the publicly traded or private companies within the group, nor the partners and board members, have acquired shares in the funds in question or engaged in any share trading related to these funds.
"IT COULD NOT BE MADE SENSE OF IN ANY WAY"
The company described the inclusion of Pasifik Gayrimenkul Yatırım İnşaat A.Ş. in the list of "responsible legal entities" that was reportedly circulated over the weekend as something that "could not be made sense of in any way."
The statement noted that Pasifik Gayrimenkul Yatırım İnşaat A.Ş. made financial investments in closed funds that are not open to TEFAS and are not marketed to the public; it was stated that this was in the nature of a transfer of financial assets from one of the company's own accounts to another. It was recorded that applications have been made to the relevant institutions for the liquidation of the fund and for the in-kind return of the shares held within it.
Pasifik GYO announced that it will initiate legal and criminal proceedings against individuals and organizations that prepare or disseminate false and misleading content about the company in order to protect the rights of its investors and shareholders.
