This statement strengthened public speculation that a new resolution process might be beginning.

Journalist İsmail Küçükkaya, while evaluating Bahçeli's handshake with DEM Party deputies during a live broadcast on Halk TV, stated that this event reminded him of the Dolmabahçe Agreement.
Küçükkaya said, "The detail in Bahçeli shaking hands with DEM Party members reminded us of the Dolmabahçe Agreement. Efkan Ala, one of the closest figures to Erdoğan at that time, was also there. Now, in Parliament, again Efkan Ala is standingby Bahçeli's side. This looks like a honeymoon period," he remarked.
